  16. Well, of course there is, or should be. But there seem to be a lot of
  17. insecure kids with IBMs who periodically pop into the newsgroup, announce,
  18. "Amiga sux! Pentium rulez!" and a lot of Amiga people pounce on them as a
  19. reflex and take the arguments apart. (I know I responded to this one,
  20. which seemed more than usually rude.)

  22. Of course, if a kid wanted a real argument in the first place, he'd have
  23. posted something more enlightened, and is probably sitting back and
  24. laughing over the havoc he's wrought.

  26. My point (knew I'd get to it): This discussions may be satisfying in some
  27. sense, but ultimately, they're pointless, as we are preaching to the
  28. converted and the unconvertable. I suspect that if we just leave these
  29. things alone, they'll go away. It's an old childhood rule: The last thing
  30. you're supposed to do is let the bully who's teasing you know that he's
  31. gotten to you.
